The story behind this piece
When the wooden boats get hauled out at the dock for repairs, I love the old brass fittings against pale sanded planks — worn metal and blond wood that have worked together for decades. These carved brass roses and smooth wood ovals are that pairing, a little rough, a little sweet, like everything built to last a life at sea.
