Matte faceted cornflower-blue glass beads alternate with frosted iridescent mermaid-glass beads and gold disc spacers, hung with a galaxy-blue oval glass cabochon and a small brass logo tag. The cabochon dangle is deep and glossy against the matte beads. Strung on stretch cord.
The story behind this piece
There are no streetlights near my end of the island, so the night sky comes all the way down to the water. That deep blue cabochon is what I see lying on the dock after dark — stars over stars — and the frosted beads are the pale wash of the Milky Way we get on moonless nights.
