A two-piece stacked set: one strand of turquoise and white howlite beads with rhinestone rondelle spacers, and one of glossy black glass beads anchored by a bronze lion-head bead. Worn together they balance beachy color with a little edge. Both on stretch cord.
The story behind this piece
The sea I grew up on has two faces: turquoise and easy all afternoon, then black and serious once the sun drops. I made this pair to be worn together the way the island holds both. The little lion is for the nerve it takes to love a thing that changes on you like that.
