The story behind this piece
The water taxis at the dock were every color that paint comes in — red hull, blue rail, yellow bench, no two alike. This confetti strand is that lineup at full speed. The cream butterfly is one I watched cross the whole channel once, low over the swells, stubborn as anything on the island.
