A color-blocked strand of cream glass pearls and black glass beads with gold rhinestone rondelles, carrying a black resin teardrop pendant shot through with real gold foil flakes. The pendant is hand-poured, so the gold scatters differently in every piece. Approximately 45cm with a clasp.
The story behind this piece
From the hill behind our house you could see the night fishermen out on black water, their lanterns making small smears of gold. That resin teardrop — black with gold flakes drifting through it — is that view from the hill, and the pearls are the house lights along the shore waiting for the boats to come in.
