An all-black strand of glossy glass beads carrying a large resin teardrop marbled in crimson and gold, hung from a gold bail. The swirl in the pendant moves like a slow starburst. A statement piece that still wears light.
The story behind this piece
Some evenings a storm stacks up black over the reef while the sun burns red and gold behind it, and for a few minutes the whole sky is a fight. I poured this teardrop during one of those — swirled the red into the gold while the thunder was still offshore. The black beads are the sea waiting underneath.
