The story behind this piece
Looking up from the bottom of the shallows, the surface is a ceiling of frosted light — a soft rainbow sheet you could almost put your hand through. These matte beads glow exactly like it, and the run of pale blue is the depth between me and the air. I still dive down just to look up.
