A full three-piece parure: necklace, stretch bracelet, and drop earrings in faceted transparent ruby-red beads alternating with gold disc rondelles. The red goes molten when light passes through it. Everything matches because it was all strung from the same tray, the same afternoon.
The story behind this piece
Every June the flamboyant trees above the road catch fire all at once — red so loud you can find the island's shape from a boat by its blooms. I cut these faceted red beads with gold between them for that season. A full set, because when the flamboyants go, they don't do it halfway.
