The story behind this piece
Finding a whole sand dollar was serious luck on our beach — most gave themselves back to the surf in pieces. I kept mine on the windowsill in a row my mother was forbidden to dust. These warm brown stones with their sand-dollar and shell charms are that windowsill, wearable.
