A matte black lava-rock bracelet punctuated by three pearl-white cross beads and wavy gold disc spacers. The porous lava beads feel weightless on the wrist, while the crosses and gold catch the light. Strung on sturdy stretch cord for easy on-and-off wear.
The story behind this piece
On the east side of the island there's a stretch we call the iron shore — black volcanic rock the waves have been breaking against forever. I strung these lava beads to feel like that rock under bare feet, and the three white crosses are for the little island chapels I could count from the water, each one painted bright against all that dark.
