The story behind this piece
My first necklace was seed beads strung on fishing line, and I sold it to a tourist at the pier for two dollars — I can still feel the coins in my hand. This dainty cream-and-amber strand is that necklace made properly at last, and the tiny smiley face is exactly how I looked walking home.
