The story behind this piece
Among the kids on our beach, a whole unbroken shell was real currency — you could trade a cracked one, but a perfect one you kept. This set is built around that rule: a golden shell for the necklace, small ones for the ears and wrist, cast in metal so they can never break and finally have to be traded away.
