The story behind this piece
Sunday afternoons meant dominoes — bone-white tiles slapped down on a dark wood table under the almond tree, everybody laughing too loud. White howlite and black lava are those tiles and that shade. The butterfly and elephant snuck in because my grandmother swore a good table always has room for one more.
