A large open-circle resin pendant — clear with real gold-leaf flakes across the top, a pearly silver shimmer through the lower half — on a strand of black glass and gold-drizzled clear beads. The donut shape frames a little window of skin or fabric. Bold, modern, unmistakably handmade.
The story behind this piece
From a few feet under, the sun is a wobbling ring of gold on the ceiling of the water, and you can hang below it as long as your breath holds. That circle is the first thing I ever wanted to keep. So I finally made it — gold leaf on top, pearl-silver below, a hole in the middle for all the looking up.
